Hollow Knight but if I destroy a background object, my save gets deleted

I'll be doing an Any% Steel Soul run through the game using this mod. I think it'll be surprisingly difficult, given that there are background objects everywhere, and this even includes grass, infection bubbles, and more! This mod is called Menderbug's Revenge by Flibber. Shoutouts to Flibber for doing a great job making this mod!
And no, I have no experience with this mod yet. So this is going to be interesting. I don't know if it's possible, but it should be. I have a backup plan of doing Pantheon 5 with Nightmare Spikes if this doesn't work out. :)
MOD DESCRIPTION: Mod that kills you whenever you break a background object (includes normal breakables as well as Fog Canyon bubbles, infection bubbles, ground grass and hanging cloths).
