Contractor. No License! No Insurance! Punishment? Consequences for You

After a recent interaction with several different contractors in my area, I'm starting to realize how many self-employed service professionals are not actually licensed and insured contractors. In fact, a lot of them advertise and put on their business cards that they are licensed and insured, but because no one ever checks, it's never a problem.

The issue for homeowners is that they are the ones that are actually at risk because there are no consequences or punishment for those not licensed and insured in their home. In this video, Joshua Griffin goes through some ins and outs of what can happen if you are hiring professionals that are not licensed and insured to do what they are doing in your home.
