Indians have given up citizenship in record numbers in the last few years. More than 1.6 million Indians have renounced their citizenship since 2011, including 183,741 this year, minister of state for external affairs V Muraleedharan told the Lok Sabha in a written reply on Friday. The United States was the preferred destination for Indians looking to settle down in 2021. Australia and Canada came in second and third place, respectively. Watch this video to know more.
